STEM Ambassador Training Event Takes Place at SMAE.
On the 10th of January 2019, over fifty undergraduates, postgraduates and staff came together in the Ashby Building, to train as STEM Ambassadors. The STEM Ambassador Programme aims to inspire more young people to have an in interest in studying and following a career in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths). Representation from over eight different Schools from Queen’s created a fantastic opportunity for interdisciplinary networking. In addition to the compulsory ambassadorial training element, trainees also gained inspiration for new activities that they could run to enthuse the next generation of students. This event was organised by Cherie Gardiner (SMAE) and delivered by the local STEM Ambassador Hub.
