Supervisory Excellence Award Presented to Dr Gary Menary
Congratulations to Dr Gary Menary from the School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering who was one of the recipients of this year’s Phd student nominated Supervisory Excellence Awards at Queens. Gary received his award at a ceremony which was held in the Graduate School to congratulate all of the winners on Tuesday 23 May 2017. Pictured L-R are Huidong Wei , Dr Gary Menary and Professor James McElnay, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research, Enterprise and Postgraduate Affairs. Wei's project is entitled 'The Development of Validated Finite Element Models for the Manufacture of Angioplasty Balloons'. Dr Menary has a strong track record across all of his research interests which span Injection Stretch Blow Moulding, Finite Element Modelling and Instrumentation. Gary has graduated a number of PHD students as principle investigator at the School and they would all attest to his abilities as a supervisor in terms of his expertise, supportive attitude and management skills. Well done Gary!
