The lecture will take place on  Thursday 19^th January 2023 at 18.00 in the Council Chamber, Lanyon Building, QUB, followed by a reception in the Canada Room.

About this event

The population of children, adults and older people is increasing with more living into older age. Many of these people will present with complex care and support needs. As a result, all care services, including health and social care, will see more people with learning disabilities requiring assessment, treatment, interventions and support across the lifespan.

While this presents challenges it also opens up significant potential for innovation regarding service models, workforce development and education provision. It is imperative that we seize these opportunities to ensure the needs of this often vulnerable population, are met effectively now and into the future.
