Research Interests
Professor Gormley’s research focuses on the provision of fundamental nursing care within a modern digital context. He has recently completed studies on i) Recording Care using the PACE Framework and ii) supporting Patients and Families in the management of Post Dialysis Fatigue (PhD study). He currently leads on an exploratory study to consider digital opportunities to improve the management of falls among frail older people: it is projected that this theme will extend to include dehydration, nutrition and pressure sore management.
