Aim: To understand the registered nurses’ perspectives of the impact of the NMC recordable Specialist Practice in Oncology qualification on their patient care and clinical practice, at three time points post qualification, with three different cohorts. Methods: A phenomenological qualitative research study involving semi-structured interviews with 9-18 registered nurses who completed the Specialist Practice in Oncology programme from 2013-2020 in the Belfast or South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust. Expected Outcomes: Insights into the impact of the Nursing and Midwifery recordable qualification of Specialist Practice in Oncology on patient care and service delivery. |
