School of Pharmacy Contributes to 2024 “Science at Queen’s” Event
The School of Pharmacy at Queen’s has recently contributed to this year’s “Science at Queen’s” event, delivered in partnership by the University’s Faculties of Medicine, Health, and Life Sciences, and Engineering and Physical Sciences.
The event promotes science-based careers to students currently in secondary-level education. Over 1500 attendees had the opportunity to meet academic staff and students from University Schools as well as employers, to learn more about the importance of science study, and the range of careers which require the study of science disciplines.
The School of Pharmacy was represented at the event by staff members Dr Stephen Kelly and Dr Lalitkumar Vora, postgraduate students Rachel Milliken and Vlad-Nicolae Lesutan, and undergraduate students Ciara Campbell and Olivia Donnelly.

Dr Dan Corbett who delivered a number of presentations to visitors during the event, said: “Science at Queen’s is a key event within the University’s outreach calendar each year, and it’s fantastic to see it so well attended in 2024. The study of science is fundamental to so many careers, including those related to pharmacy and the pharmaceutical industry, and this event has provided us with a real opportunity to allow students to learn more about this at an exceptionally formative point in their professional lives.
