- Date(s)
- March 7, 2024

- 11 University Square/01/008
- Time
- 15:00 - 16:00
The aim of the group is to foster scholarly discussion of texts about gender equality and related topics, especially the ways gender intersects with other domains of inequality, education, power and governance, and culture. The details of the second session are as follows:
Reading: María Lugones, ‘Playfulness, “World”-Traveling, and Loving Perception’, Hypatia, vol. 2, no. 2 (Summer 1987), pp. 3-19.
‘A paper about cross-cultural and cross-racial loving that emphasizes the need to understand and affirm the plurality in and among women as central to feminist ontology and epistemology. Love is seen not as fusion and erasure of difference but as incompatible with them. Love reveals plurality. Unity-not to be confused with solidarity-is understood as conceptually tied to domination.’
Date: 7th March 2024 @ 1500
