Broadcast lecturer Don Duncan has co-directed and produced "Gail" a series of animations
Broadcast lecturer Don Duncan has co-directed and produced “Gail”, the first in a series of animations of people from a unionist background who’ve discovered and learned Irish.
You can see the animation here. The project is run by Don with East Belfast Irish language activist (and QUB student of Irish) Linda Ervine. This first animation features the voice of Gail McCune who is also studying at Queen's (Archeology and Irish) and was produced in conjunction with Belfast-based animation company Enter Yes with collaboration by QUB sound design student Jakub Bednarz.
It’s screening all week this week at QFT as part of "Good Relations Week" and is part of the "Ulster Gaeilge: it's yours too!" collection on the QFT Player.
The project was covered in the Belfast Telegraph and on the BBC.
