Oliver Mears, Artistic Director of Northern Ireland Opera, will join the MA Arts Management students as a guest speaker to discuss the challenges of both leading an opera company and of staging challenging work in the current economic and political climate. Discussion will focus on the company’s forthcoming production of Mozart’s Don Giovanni, directed by Oliver and at the Grand Opera House, Belfast in November. This will be Oliver’s final production at NI Opera before he takes up a prestigious new post as Director of Opera at the Royal Opera House in London.
