*Holly Warner’s schedule has forced her to cancel her seminar on 8 November, but we are lucky to have Dr Rebecca Caines as a Visiting Associate Researcher in the School at present, so we are grateful to her for stepping in with a presentation which is tied to the research concerns of many staff and research students in Creative Arts.*
Dr Rebecca Caines presents a seminar which is tied to the research concerns of many staff and students in Creative Arts: Improvisation as a research method in sonic and socially-engaged arts. Is it useful to argue that improvisation is, in fact, an under-valued, rigorous, and peer reviewed framework that can be used for academic, artistic, and socially-responsible research projects? What would it mean to take improvisation as a research methodology seriously?
