Screening of the documentary No Stone Unturned, a film about the 1994 Loughlinisland massacre, which scrutinises the police investigation of the massacre and concludes that there was police collusion in the crime. In August of this year, Barry McCaffrey, a producer on the film, was arrested by the PSNI on suspicion of theft of confidential documents from the office of Police Ombudsman of Northern Ireland, a charge he denies.
The film screening will be followed by a Q&A and a discussion with McCaffrey about the arrest and the limits to freedom of speech it represents.
The event will be introduced by Mr. Don Duncan, Lecturer in Broadcast Production and chaired by Dr. Peter Doran of QUB’s School of Law, in collaboration with the National Union of Journalists (NUJ).
