Duo van Vliet; Crossfade: New Music for Viola, Accordion and Electronics

Duo van Vliet comprises Rafał Łuc (accordion) and Ian Anderson (viola).  Their debut album Lachrymae ReVisited (Orchid Classics) received 4 stars from BBC Music Magazine, and was featured on Classic FM and BBC Radio 3. They prioritise commissioning new works, and enjoy exploring the limits of their instruments.

Duo van Vliet presents 3 recent works for viola and accordion, including the world premiere of "Dormiré sin la Sirena" by Alan Perrin. Completing the programme will be two works with electronics: Linda Buckley's new work, written especially for Duo van Vliet and premiered in Scotland in August 2019 at the series “The Night With...”, and Cezary Duchnowski's pulsating cROSSFAdE 2, also composed for the Duo, and premiered at the Warsaw Autumn Festival 2017.
