Franziska will be discussing her long-standing, international contributions to the field of music improvisation, focusing her discourse on the concept of "multiplicities." This concept serves as a poignant framework for tracing the diverse, manifold, and intricately entwined trajectories that have influenced her endeavours and reflections as a saxophonist, improviser and academic.
In her lecture Franziska will tease out some of her practice-based work in the area of AI (Artificial Intelligence) and music improvisation, improvisation in virtual worlds, and speak of her award-winning work carried out through her “Performance without Barriers” research group at Queen’s University Belfast.
The lecture will be streamed live and published online after the event.
