Professors Dee Heddon (Drama) and Karen Lury (Film and TV Studies) from Glasgow, both UoA panellists in REF 2021, and Dr. Scott McLaughlin (Music) from Leeds will be sharing their experience of good practice research. The seminar is open to everyone

Senate Room 12.00-3.30
The seminar will take place in the Senate Room from 12-3.30pm and will include lunch and coffees. There will be talks and Q&As on both sides of lunch culminating in a round table.
12.00: Coffee and Tea
12.15-1.00: Dee Heddon (University of Glasgow):
‘Responses to Practice Research: REF2021’. Dee will set the scene by summarising key points of feedback from the last UoA panel. She will share work from Theatre and Dance that offers different approaches to PR and the presentation of PR.
1.00-1.30: Lunch.
1.30-2.15: Karen Lury (University of Glasgow):
‘Practice Research in Film and TV’. Karen will discuss AV essays, feature films and podcasts and what the reviewer might need to see (and hear).
2.15-3.00: Scott McLaughlin (University of Leeds).
‘Practice Research in Music’. Scott will share general music practice examples, especially multi-component outputs, and will present ideas for a template for good PR.
3.00- 3.10: Coffee and Tea
3.10-3.30: Round Table with Final Questions and Comments.
