WHAT: Women Seen and Heard - Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion in Northern Ireland’s Media and Broadcasting Industry symposium presented by Una Murphy lecturer in Broadcast Production at QUB
WHEN: Saturday June 22, 10am-1pm (including tea and coffee, and lunch).
WHERE: The Old McMordie Hall in the QUB Music Building opposite the QFT.

The aims and objectives of the symposium 'Women Seen and Heard - Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion in Northern Ireland’s Media and Broadcasting Industry’, are to give an understanding of the structural barriers faced by women in the industry and to identify solutions to make the industry more equal, diverse and inclusive, in both content creation and through leadership initiatives, in line with Goal 5 of the United Nationals Sustainable Development Goals to ‘Achieve Gender Parity and Empower all Girls and Women’, by ensuring the women have opportunities to take on positions of leadership as well as ensure fair representation. The event will take place in the Music Building (Old McMordie Hall) University Square, across the road from the QFT and has been funded by Queen's University.
