Michael Doorley (OU): ‘Justice Daniel Cohalan, 1865-1946: The making of an Irish-American nationalist’
Dr Michael Doorley is an Associate Lecturer in History with the Open University in Ireland. He holds a PhD from the University of Illinois at Chicago and has research interests in the Irish experience in America in the 19th and 20th centuries, with a particular focus on the development of Irish-American nationalism. Among his publications are Irish American Diaspora Nationalism: The Friends of Irish Freedom, 1916-1935 (Dublin, 2005), and Justice Daniel Cohalan, 1865-1946: American patriot and Irish-American nationalist (Cork, 2019).
