Promoting interest in philosophy among secondary school students, and modelling and promoting civil discourse on issues of public concern.
The Philosophy department at the School of History, Anthropology, Philosophy and Politics, Queen’s University Belfast, is delighted to host one of seven regional heats for Year 12-14 pupils. HAPP staff and students will judge the regional tournament.
Regional Heat: Tuesday 14 December 2021, 9.30am Queen's University Belfast, lunch provided.
Every registered team will compete initially in a regional tournament, with the 12 most successful teams advancing to the finals, hosted by the University of St Andrews on 31 May 2022. The seven 2022 regional tournaments are:
- King’s College London
- Merseyside/Wales
- North-east
- Queen’s University Belfast
- University of Glasgow
- University of Kent
- University of Leeds
One winning team from the Queen's University Belfast regional heats will attend the final at the University of St Andrew's.
The Cup is a project of the Centre for Ethics, Philosophy and Public Affairs, a research centre within the Department of Philosophy at the University of St Andrews.
