Mirjam Mueller, King’s College London, ‘But where does it stop? How structural exploitation is reproduced.’
Mirjam’s research combines issues of economic justice and feminist theory, by drawing both on theoretical research in political- and social philosophy and empirical research in the social sciences. In her PhD work she developed an account of exploitation in global relations of production, with a particular focus on sweatshop labour. Current projects involve a feminist critique of capitalist wage labour relations and care work, analyses of structural forms of injustice, and (on a methodological level) an analysis of how non-ideal theory and critical theory overlap.
