Patrick Cockburn, Swansea, "Varieties of economic dependence: Why our debates on dependence must span the public/private divide".
Dr Patrick Cockburn is a Senior Lecturer in Political Economy and Philosophy, having joined the department in 2019 after 11 years at Aarhus University, Denmark. His research focuses on problems of economic justice, and builds bridges between political philosophy and the social sciences of economic life. His recent work examines economic dependence in our public and private relationships, with a particular focus on the politics of the family. His recent publications include The Politics of Dependence (Palgrave Macmillan, 2018) and Contested Property Claims (Routledge, 2018).
