My research is focused on the way that security and politics intersect in the arena of global health. I am particularly interested in the role that biotechnology is playing in contemporary security practices including in disease surveillance and the development of pharmaceuticals in response to pandemics and bioterrorism. Various aspects of my research have contributed to debates on bioeconomies, resilience and the nature of molecular life in security studies.
