"Radical Community Response-Ability: Learning Partnerships with “Others”"
Abstract
In this study, I examine alterity in a complex multi-stakeholder food partnership, specifically problematising the absence of community within community-focused initiatives. Inspired by Levinas’s phenomenology of the Other (1969; 1981), and testing an alternative methodological approach, emancipatory praxis (Hutton and Heath 2020), I explore the routes for building inclusive impact with marginal communities to minimise this alterity.
