Dr Laura Steele Wins Rising Star Teaching Award at Queen's University Belfast
The Queen's Teaching Awards recognise the excellent practice of colleagues at various stages of their careers and in different roles across all three University Faculties at Queen's University Belfast.
Dr Laura Steele, Senior Lecturer and Director of Ethics, Responsibility and Sustainability at Queen's Business School, has won a Rising Star Award.
Nine Teaching Awards 2023 were available in three categories: Sustained Excellence; Rising Stars; and Excellence in Teaching by a Team.
Laura designs and delivers an interactive teaching experience and innovative assessment approach with an emphasis on delivering a transformative experience and educating for societal impact. These approaches engage her students with their learning and effectively prepare them for employment.
Alongside running the Business and Human Rights Student Ambassador Programme, Laura also hosts the Good Business podcast and leads on the School's PRME Champion activities related to ethics, responsibility and sustainability.
These commitments feed into her teaching material and complement her passion for delivering excellent experiences for our students.
