QBS Launches Data Duo Mentoring Programme to Help Businesses Unlock the Power of Their Data
Queen’s Business School’s Data Duo Mentoring Programme pairs business professionals with MSc Business Analytics students to unlock data-driven insights.

Many businesses collect vast amounts of data but struggle to translate it into meaningful insights. Queen’s Business School is offering a solution through its innovative Data Duo Mentoring Programme, a 12-week initiative that pairs business professionals with MSc Business Analytics students to help them make better use of their data.
Helping Businesses Get More from Their Data
Data-driven decision-making is more important than ever, but many businesses lack the expertise to fully utilise their data. Through this programme, professionals from any industry—whether from a small business, charity, or large organisation—can gain fresh insights into how data can drive smarter decisions, improve efficiency, and unlock new opportunities.
How It Works
Participants will be matched with a postgraduate student skilled in the latest data analytics tools and techniques. Over the course of 12 weeks, the student will provide guidance on how to better understand and use data in a practical business setting.
The programme includes:
✅ A kick off breakfast event at Queen’s Business School on May 14, 2025
✅ Five one-on-one mentoring sessions (virtual or in-person)
✅ Tailored insights and hands-on support with real business data challenges
✅ A structured framework to ensure measurable outcomes
Who Should Apply?
This programme is ideal for business professionals who:
✔ Collect data but are unsure how to use it effectively
✔ Want to explore how data can improve their decision-making
✔ Need fresh perspectives on how to analyse and interpret data
No prior knowledge of data analytics is required—just an openness to learn and explore new possibilities with the support of a knowledgeable student.
