Queen’s Business School is proud to continue supporting and sponsoring at the CIPD NI Awards.
The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) is an association for Human Resource Management professionals. Each year, the CIPD NI Awards are held to celebrate the best in Human Resource and People Management, acknowledging their pivotal contributions to the success of both the private and public sectors. They are known as the most prestigious and highly regarded awards for the HR profession in Northern Ireland.
The 2023 CIPD Awards will take place on Thursday 12 October at the Titanic, Belfast. With 11 categories spanning individuals, teams, and transformative initiatives, the evening promises to be a celebration of the most impactful strategies and outstanding HR professionals.
This year, QBS will sponsor the ‘Rising Star of the People Profession’ Award. This award is designed to recognise an individual who shows great passion for their profession and has made a substantial impact in their workplace. Aimed towards early to mid-career People professionals, the award honors those that demonstrate commitment to continued professional development.
The four finalists for the Rising Star of the People Profession Award are:

The CIPD Awards are distinguished by their impressive judging panel, consisting of leading HR and business professionals and academics across the UK. The engaging judging process and criteria ensures that only the best entries are selected for the shortlist.
Among the individuals comprising the judging panel is Denise Currie, who is an integral part of QBS, serving as a Reader in HRM and the Director of Post Graduate Education.
