School Sponsors Rising Star Award at VAVA Awards 2023
We are proud to sponsor a category at the VAVA Awards for the second year running.
The VAVA awards are an All-Ireland Influencer Awards Ceremony celebrating the best Content Creators from the North and South of Ireland. The 2023 VAVA Awards will take place on the 2nd of September 2023 in the Europa Hotel, Belfast.
Francesca Morelli, co-founder and Director of VAVA Influence and one of our graduates, launched the awards with her business partner last year. Proud to support our alumni, the School is delighted to be sponsoring an award at the VAVA Awards for the second year running
In 2022, we sponsored the ‘Top Influencer Under 10K Award’, which was awarded to Cool FM broadcaster Evanna Maxted. As well as having a growing following on TikTok and Instagram, Evanna creates inspirational and positive content – urging people to follow their dreams, be ambitious and enjoy life along the way. Evanna was selected as the winner through a judging panel from QMS made up of academics and marketing specialists. The award was presented by Lecturer in Marketing, Dr Grace Carson, on behalf of the School.
This year, we will be sponsoring the ‘Rising Star’ category. The award will be given to an influencer who has seen rapid growth over the past year and has the potential to continue that growth.
The winner will have recently established their style and niche, be consistently engaging with their followers and community, and creating high quality content (commercially and non-commercially).
The five finalists for the Rising Star category are:
- Gemma Mailey - @gemmamailey
- Riona Magee - @belfastfoodiegirlofficial
- Tristan McGavigan - @tgavy
- Sara Keenan - @sarakeenan3
- Olivia McVeigh - @oliviamcveigh_
We look forward to attending the VAVA Awards on 2 September 2023.
