‘Sustainable Business Leader of the Year’ Award presented by QBS
The second annual Business Eye Sustainability Awards, in association with Strategic Power Connect, took place on the evening of Thursday 9 May 2024 at the Culloden Estate & Spa.
Local businesses, and business leaders, were invited to enter a comprehensive range of 16 categories, including awards aimed at sectors such as food & drink, hospitality & tourism, manufacturing and retail.
Queen’s Business School once again proudly sponsored the ‘Sustainable Business Leader of the Year’ Award. This award, aimed at owners and senior managers, recognises a business leader who has led their organisation to real sustainability achievement, and whose leadership can serve as an example for other business owners and leaders to follow.
Professor Shuang Ren, Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging at Queen’s Business School, presented the award.
Winner: Philip McMichael, Vyta
Philip McMichael is the CEO of Vyta, IT lifecycle solutions company. As CEO, Philip has seen Vyta through years of exceptional growth in size and capability while fostering a culture of honesty, accountability, and client focus. Philip has a passion for sustainability and leads his highly accredited organisation by focusing on this.
Highly Commended: Roger Alexander, Cubic3
Roger Alexander is the Managing Director of Cubic3, a company which injects momentum and innovation in complex accommodation and infrastructure projects through strategic, financial, commercial and technical leadership and a sustainable vision.
