VAVA Awards 2023: Olivia McVeigh Awarded Rising Star by QBS
The VAVA Awards took place on Saturday 2nd September 2023 at the Europa Hotel, sponsored by Queen’s Business School and a variety of business organisations.
Following the success of the inaugural VAVA Awards last year, the 2023 Awards took place on Saturday 2 September at Belfast’s Europa Hotel.
The VAVA Awards are a dedicated evening in celebration of outstanding content creators and influencers from the island of Ireland. The evening features a three-course meal, awards ceremony, and live entertainment. The Awards are run by VAVA Influence, a duo featuring one of our alumni, Francesca Morelli.
Queen’s Business School sponsored the ‘Rising Star Award’ – awarded to the influencer that has seen rapid growth over the past year and has the potential to continue that growth.
A judging panel made up of marketing specialists and academics at Queen’s Business School selected the winner – Olivia McVeigh.
Olivia is a talented content creator and makeup artist who thrives across various social media platforms. She shares a diverse range of content, from makeup tutorials and "get ready with me" vlogs, to heartfelt personal stories and advocacy for alopecia awareness. Additionally, she shares her impressive collection of wigs, removing stigma and shame from wig-wearing for hair loss.
With a growing following on TikTok and Instagram Olivia creates inspirational and positive content – urging people to live their lives with no regrets and be themselves.
Business Engagement and Employability Manager, Karl Webb, presented the award on behalf of Queen’s Business School.
Congratulations to Olivia and thanks to VAVA Influence for hosting a great evening.
