Dr Alan Hanna, a lecturer (education) in Finance, has received national professional recognition for his sustained contribution to education through a Higher Education Academy (HEA) Senior Fellowship. 

HEA Professional Fellowships are awarded to those who have demonstrated commitment to teaching, learning and enhancing the student experience in accordance with the UK Professional Standards Framework. Senior Fellow status recognises outstanding achievement in teaching and enhancing the student learning experience, combined with scholarship and academic leadership. This is a noteworthy achievement given that only 10% of 112,000 fellows in the global network are Senior Fellows.
