Interested in the viewpoints of 10-11 year olds and 16-year-olds in Northern Ireland? The 2023 Kids' Life and Times and the 2023 Young Life and Times surveys explore their attitudes and opinions on vital matters affecting their lives. Topics include children’s and young people’s experiences of the cost-of-living crisis; mental health; sport and physical activity; good relations and gender-based violence.
The findings from these surveys conducted by ARK will be launched on 5 September at Queen's University Belfast.
ARK is a social policy initiative hosted jointly by Queen’s University Belfast and Ulster University. A key element of ARK’s work is a suite of three public attitudes surveys recording the opinions of people of all ages in Northern Ireland. Survey outcomes can usefully inform the work of policymakers, teachers, planners and those working in services for children and young people.
