Presentation of PGCE Prizes and Certificates
The Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) students from our 2022/23 cohort were hosted at a Presentation of Prizes and Certificates event in Riddel Hall at Queen’s University recently. They heard an inspiring speech from guest speaker Faustina Graham, Chief Inspector at the Education Training Inspectorate, about the important difference that good teachers can make to their pupils’ lives in the long term.
Finalists and winners of the Elizabeth M Fulton prizes, the Excellence in Teaching prize, the SSESW Prize for Top Performing Student and the Top Performing Student in Educational and Professional Studies were all acknowledged and congratulated on their academic achievement. All students were then called forward individually to be presented with their parchments across our PGCE subjects in Information Technology and Computing, Religious Education, Social Science, Modern Languages, Science, Mathematics and English.
Information on applying for the PGCE for entry in September 2024 will be available in mid-September, with a closing date of 1 November 2023 for applications.
