With support from the School of SSESW, students from Queen's Social Work Society celebrated World Social Work Day (21 March) by hosting their inaugural event in the new Students’ Union building at One Elwood with Becky, Connor and Rachel from Another World Belfast (AWB). The AWB visitors encouraged attendees to uphold the values of the People's Charter for a New Eco Social World. The values included: love and care for people and the planet; Ubuntu togetherness; solidarity, equality, inclusion and collaboration. Emma Jane from Rape Crisis Northern Ireland also joined students at the event to raise awareness of the Rape Crisis NI campaigns on ‘end victim blaming’ and 'consent matters'.
