Note: The MISTRAL Project ended in December 2022. We are now converting the webpages to a legacy website where you can read the outputs of the research, find out more about the Early Stage Researchers who worked in MISTRAL, and what the future brings. Thank you for your patience!
MISTRAL (Multi-sectoral approaches to Innovative Skills Training for Renewable energy & sociAL acceptance) received funding as an Innovative Training Network from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions (Grant Agreement No 813837). In the project, a new generation of researchers were trained to evaluate the complexity of social acceptance issues facing the deployment of renewable energy infrastructure, and propose innovative solutions in a variety of research, government and business contexts.
We provided a world-class training environment where Early Stage Researchers (ESRs) benefitted from a range of diverse secondment experiences and develop advanced research techniques and transferable skills. The network had beneficiaries in the United Kingdom, Portugal, Denmark, Germany, Switzerland, and Ireland.
Now that the project has ended, we are embarking on a new chapter in the journey, with the formation of the MISTRAL Academy. The network from MISTRAL will be maintained, with continued cooperation and collaboration between the organisations involved and continued support for our ESRS.
