Best LGBT Initiative
PRISM has won Best LGBT Initiative at the Northern Ireland Equality & Diversity Awards
PRISM were the proud recipients of the Northern Ireland Equality & Diversity Awards 'Best LGBT Initiative'. The ceremony took place in Titanic Belfast on 5 April 2019. Organised by Legan Island and sponsored by Grafton Recruitment and Jones Cassidy Brett solicitors, the awards are now in their third year. Private sector, charities , not for profits organisations and public sector bodies were all eligible to apply.
Barry Philips, Chair of Legal Island said at the event. 'The Northern Ireland Equality and Diversity Awards 2019 recognise the really good work that companies across Northern Ireland are doing in the important area of diversity, equality and inclusion.'
Richard Robinson and Sally Bridge, Co-Chairs of PRISM gave the following speech.
‘On behalf of the Queen’s Staff LGBT Network, PRISM, my co-chair and I would like to thank Legal Island for this wonderful award.
We would also like to thank People and Culture at Queen’s for instigating the network a couple of years ago and, in particular, Brian Parkes, Conor Curran and Fiona O’Connell for their individual help and support.
Finally, we would like to thank all of the members of PRISM for recognising the importance of belonging to the network and the positive impact it has on staff and students throughout the University.’
