Discover and rediscover the hidden gems of the Queen’s Quarter by ‘dandering’ around with our self-directed podcast!
Whether you are new to, or already familiar with the Queen’s Quarter, chances are you have yet to explore all its hidden gems.
Our ‘Dander’ around the Queen’s Quarter is via a self-directed podcast.
With two routes, we’ll take you on a tour around the main landmarks of the Queen’s campus, the sights right on its doorstep, and locations where you can take notice, relax, and get away from the hustle & bustle of studying!
Recommended for new and returning students, take a 40 minute break to learn more about the community you are part of.
This Pink Route is slightly more advanced, as it contains some steep and/or gradual hills than the yellow route. If you need an easier route, consider listening to the yellow route instead.

Managing disappointment is something that many of us experience. How do we move forward?
Listen to this episode to see how we can take a step back, apply our learning, get support, and move on.
Today we're delighted to be joined by:
- Will Plunkett, Student Wellbeing Adviser (Team Leader)
- Ciarán O'Neill, Learning Development Service Tutor
- Deirdre Lynskey, Student Development Manager, Careers Employability & Skills
They share their own experiences about times where they have faced disappointment, how they dealt with this response, and what support is available through Queen's.
During this episode, the speakers refer to a “FOCUS” Resource, which has been adapted from Gibbs (1988) to help visually outline the steps you can take to reflect and learn from disappointment. Click here to access a PDF of this resource.
A full transcript of this episode will be made available shortly.
