Dr Prendergast has been involved in QGI since it was established in 2000 and went on to successfully co-lead the Queen's Management School Athena Swan application.  She has been an active advocate for women in academic life and for EDI more broadly.  Dr Prendergast has also provided support to many colleagues across Queen's as a mentor, confidante and friend. 

Members of the QGI Executive Committee along with current and former Swan Champions were also in attendance to congratulate Dr Prendergast on her well deserved retirement and to wish her all the best with this new chapter in her life.
