Queen’s Marine Laboratory makes waves at 14th annual Open Day

Queen’s Marine Laboratory’s 14th annual Open Day took place on Saturday 3 August at its picturesque loughside location in Portaferry.

Running alongside the Portaferry Sails and Sounds Festival, the family-friendly Open Day showcased the multifaceted research taking place at Queen’s University Belfast's Marine Laboratory.

The annual event gives members of the public the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes at the research undertaken in the building and to view some of the marine life that can be found in Strangford Lough.
