Mehdi Hafezi is a research fellow in systems thinking at Cranfield University. Mehdi received his Master of Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Adelaide, Australia in 2013 and his PhD in systems modelling from Griffith University, Australia in 2020. He undertook his doctoral investigations as a member of the risk assessment and systems modelling team under a multidisciplinary research project titled EcoAdapt aimed to identify appropriate adaptation interventions using integrated systems modelling approach.
His research interests focus around the application of systems thinking in environmental, public health, and socio-economic systems including hybrid systems modelling, system dynamics (SD), Probabilistic Modelling, and soft systems methodology (SSM) as well as Project Management; and Decision support systems - Multiple criteria decision analysis.
