Wako Golicha Wako

Wako Golicha is a PhD student based within Scottish Collaboration for Public Health Research and Policy (SCPHRP) at the University of Edinburgh. Before joining SCPHRP, he had worked as an assistant professor of public health in Ethiopia, and has experience in health service research, epidemiological studies and program evaluation. His research interests include maternal and child health, non-communicable chronic diseases, health inequalities, climate change and health, and health impacts of built environment.
As part of his PhD, Wako is investigating how personal wearable devices can be used in an innovative way to characterize asthma sufferers’ exposure to air pollutants and pollens in urban environment.
