The recent QAA Subject Benchmark statements all make reference to an expectation that Employability, Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Education will be embedded within the curriculum. InQUBate are working to support academic staff to achieve this.

Entrepreneurial Education at Queen's course
InQUBate have developed a course for academic staff at Queen's called Entrepreneurial Education at Queen's. This course is currently pending SEDA certification.
The course has been designed to support staff to meet the requirements of the QAA and professional accrediting bodies who are now asking that enterprise and entrepreneurship be embedded within the curriculum.
Despite the terminology, entrepreneurial education isn’t about setting up a business (although it can include that). It’s about providing students with an enhanced capacity to generate ideas, and the competencies and confidence to make them happen. Supporting students to develop entrepreneurial competencies aligns with the Queen’s 2030 strategy.

InQUBate Year in Enterprise Placement Scholarship
InQUBate have established a scholarship to support UG students who wish to work on their own business during their placement year. The scholarship includes £13K paid in installments throughout the year to cover costs of living plus access to the 3 month QUest customer discovery programme.

The Enterprise Forum is a Community of Practice for staff interested in / involved in entrepreneurial education at Queen’s The Community of Practice meets twice a year and has a SharePoint site containing useful information.
