What happens when elected politicians can't reach agreement? Can ordinary citizens help break the deadlock? Our research explores how 'deliberative minipublics' could help to facilitate stable government in the deeply divided context of Northern Ireland by meaningfully assisting politicians in decision-making around contentious issues.
