The Critical Civility Project

By offering opportunities for the discussion of some of the most pressing and interesting social, political, and ethical questions of our time, The Critical Civility Project aims to show how we can better understand both the world and one another while fostering skills in philosophical thinking, empathetic reasoning, and communication.

Dr Suzanne Whitten

The project is led by Dr Suzanne Whitten, Senior Lecturer in Political Theory and Philosophy in the School of History, Anthropology, Philosophy and Politics and Fellow of the Senator George J. Mitchell Institute for Global Peace, Security and Justice at Queen's University Belfast.

Suzanne is an experienced 'Philosophy with Children (PwC)' facilitator who has published extensively on issues relating to freedom of speech, 'critical' civility, and republican political theory. Please get in touch with Suzanne at suzanne.whitten@qub.ac.uk if you would like to discuss:
