1. Personal Information:

The university representative will likely ask for your full name, date of birth, contact details, and potentially your UCAS ID. Providing accurate and up-to-date information is important for the application process.

“The efficiency of the process was first rate. In addition, the phone lines for clearing were open during all sociable hours of the day so I could always call and check to see if everything was going as planned.”

- Tom Thorogood, Politics and Philosophy

2. Qualifications and Results:

You will be asked about your qualifications and A-level results (or equivalent). Be prepared to provide specific details, including the subjects you studied and the grades you achieved. They may also ask about any relevant additional qualifications or coursework.

3. Course Interest and Motivation:

The university representative will inquire about the course or subject you are interested in studying. They may ask why you are interested in that particular course and how it aligns with your career aspirations. Be ready to express your enthusiasm and highlight your relevant skills or experiences.

5. Clearing Decision:

The representative may ask why you are considering the university through Clearing and if you have any specific reasons for choosing their institution. Be prepared to explain your circumstances and why you believe the course and university are a good fit for you.

“Queen’s being a Russell group university means you get to enjoy a robust support system and development opportunities that are difficult to attain elsewhere.”

6. Additional Assessments:

Depending on the course or institution, you may be asked to participate in additional assessments, such as interviews, portfolio reviews, or entrance exams. The university representative may provide information on how these assessments are conducted and what to expect.

7. General Questions:

You might be given an opportunity to ask questions about the course structure, modules, teaching methods, support services, accommodation options, or any other aspects of university life. Use this opportunity to gather important information that can help you make an informed decision.
