Located within Belfast’s Cathedral Quarter, Craft NI Gallery is showcasing handmade jewellery and crafts from a host of Northern Irish artists as part of their ‘Love by Design’ event. The exhibition is free to the public and they have great unique items on sale all year round.

Romeo and Juliet
With romantic lines including “did my heart love till now?” and “my bounty is as boundless as the sea, My love as deep; the more I give to thee, The more I have, for both are infinite”, Romeo and Juliet is the perfect play to set the tonefor the holiday. The play is running from 9 February until the 5 March in the Lyric Theatre.

Pizza and Pottery Night
Spending an evening crafting some unique pottery in a session led by a professional potter at Loaf Pottery in Crawfordsburn followed by some pizza afterwards sounds like the perfect way to win anyone's heart. Why not bring your own wine and re-enact the famously romantic scene from the movie Ghost!

Hollywood Bowl is the home of bowling in Belfast! Why not grab a few friends or plan a double date for a round of bowling followed by a trip to the American themed diner afterwards for some burgers and hot dogs?

While Belfast offers a variety of activities and experiences to participate in to set the mood for the day, there are also a plethora of places a few hours outside of the city to plan a romantic adventure to. Pack up a picnic and take a day trip to the Giant’s Causeway, the Dark Hedges, or White Park Bay.

Located right beside Queen’s University the Queen’s Film Theatre is an independent cinema showcasing a range of movies. Make a date of your visit and pick up a glass of wine to take into the theatre with you or indulge in some sweet and salty popcorn. A student ticket at Queen’s Film Theatre is just £4.50.*

Nothing beats belting out a few classic karaoke songs lamenting romantic woes with your best pals to celebrate Galentine's day. One place to check out is the Karaoke Lounge at Cuckoo on the Lisburn Road.

For things a little bit more on the romantic side, a dinner for two is a perfect way to spend your Valentine’s evening. Babel Rooftop Bar offers diners expansive views of the city, while Bert’s Jazz Bar will transport you back to the glamour and romance of the 1920s.
