Trinity College is the sole constituent college of the University of Dublin, founded in 1592. At present there are around 12,000 students and 1,200 staff, and they make up what is probably Ireland's most cosmopolitan community.

The college is situated in the heart of Dublin, a lively yet historic capital city which has plenty of attractions old and new and from which one can travel easily into beautiful and often unspoilt rural areas.

All the conference events will take place on the main campus, and many of them in or adjacent to the School of Music's premises, which are in the impressive 18th-century Front Square of College.

A number of associated events will be held in historic venues elsewhere in Dublin, but all within a few minutes walk of the College.

Meals and Drinks

Breakfast, lunch and tea/coffee breaks will be available. Evening meals will not be provided within College, but there is no shortage of places to eat out nearby, from the cheap and cheerful to the expensive and plush, and from traditional Irish to Oriental.

The Conference Dinner will be held on Friday night, in the fine, wood-panelled Dining Hall of TCD.

Concerts and Venues

One concert will be held in TCD's 19th century Chapel and a public address and historic liturgy will take place in St Patrick's Cathedral. This will be a public event, and conference delegates will be allocated the best seats. Look at some of the fine collection of organs at TCD as well.

Car Parking

Delegates are advised that it will not be possible to park cars on the campus of Trinity College during the conference. Anyone staying in rooms on the campus may use a car park nearby, which charges TCD a preferential rate of £IR8 per day. At weekends, delegates staying in rooms on campus will be able to park on campus.
