What a performance!

Huge congrats to all the Crescendo pupils that played so beautifully with the Ulster Orchestra in the Ulster Hall recently. This was the final celebration event of another amazing year of Crescendo in primary schools in the Colin and Shankill areas of West Belfast. Another 1000 pupils engaged in the programme this year supported by the Ulster Orchestra with weekly music lessons.

A great number of parents, teachers, principals and community members from Colin and Shankill areas attended the event. Also in attendance was the First Minister Michele O’Neill, Deputy First Minister Emma Little-Pengelly and Junior Ministers Pam Cameron and Aisling Reilly. Everyone was treated to fantastic singing and playing by the pupils accompanied by the Ulster Orchestra.

Crescendo is a child centred, community-led, and evidence informed programme being delivered in Good Shepard Primary School, Malvern Primary School, Wheatfield Primary School, and Holy Evangelists’ Primary School.
