Her research is focusing on the role of education in transforming divided societies, with a particular interest in how different educational models prepare young people to enter a divided society as social individuals. Throughout her tenure she will be conducting interviews with young people who left post-primary school 5-6 years ago to understand their experience outside the bubble of education. Lucy will also hold interviews with those working on the design of integrated and shared education, respectively, and the citizenship curriculum.
