Privy Council Notes:
- This appears in a list of bills transmitted by IPC on 16 Dec. 1703 as 'Regulation of markets and salt to be sold by weight' (BL, Add MS 9715, f.43).
'For the better regulation of the markets and sale of goods within the city and suburbs of Dublin and the several liberties adjacent, and to oblige the retailers of salt and meal and other ground corn to sell by weight' was the title of bill as presented to EPC.
The bill transmitted appears to have been an amalgam of 2 heads of bills: 'To oblige all retailers of salt to sell the same by weight', sent by HC to CG on 22 Nov., and 'For the better regulation of the markets and sale of goods within the city and suburbs of Dublin, and the several liberties adjacent', sent by HL to CG on 15 Nov. On this basis Amend is assigned in the Decision of Irish Privy Council field.
