Privy Council Notes:
- 'Her majesty is further pleased to order that the right honourable the earl of Wharton, lord lieutenant of Ireland, taking notice that her majesty has been graciously pleased to direct the said act to be proposed to be passed in the parliament there, as also another act of like nature the last year, for the good of the church of that kingdom, do earnestly recommend it to the council there to prepare a law for her majesty’s approbation to be proposed to the parliament of Ireland for the more effectual obliging the clergy of that kingdom to reside upon their respective livings for the future.'
