For securing the freedom of parliament, by ascertaining the qualifications for knights, citizens and burgesses of parliament, and to vacate the seat of any knight, citizen or burgess of parliament who shall accept of any lucrative office or employment, civil or military, or any pension upon the establishment of Great Britain or Ireland. |
