- Committee minute, PC2/139,p462 'Their Lordships having had under consideration the bills lately transmitted from Ireland, observe that the in the fourth section of the bill entitled' For preventing money or effects in the hands of his majesty's subjects, belonging to or disposable by persons resident in France, being applied to the use of the persons exercising the powers of government in France, and for preserving the property thereof, for the benefit of the individual owners thereof' which section relates to the payment or satisfaction of any bill of exchange: drawn or accepted or indorsed or in any manner negotiated in any part of the dominions of France etc: ' the word ' or sent from' are omitted, which are extremely essential to secure the purposes of the act which in general seems to be a transcript of the act of the British parliament for the same purpose- and their lordships agreed to recommend it to Mr Secretary Dundas to write to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland to acquaint his Excellency with the said omission'
'Ordered- that the clerk of council in waiting do transmit a copy of the above minute to Evan Nepean esquire to be laid before Mr Secretary Dundas'
